Prospective Graduate Students
Dr Stanton will consider PhD student applications set to begin in the 2027/28 academic year (the University of Edinburgh application deadline is in November 2026). Applicants should have a strong academic record, experience with social psychology, and research interests that closely fit the theme and focus of the HARP Lab. Dr Stanton will consider quantitative projects that fall within the domains of (1) adult romantic relationships; (2) human-pet relationships; or (3) tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) and social processes. Within these three domains, Dr Stanton is particularly interested in supervising projects related to self-expansion, perceived responsiveness, attachment insecurity buffering and attachment security enhancement, or the links between relationship processes and health/well-being.
